1

How long does Botox last?

Botox tends to last 3-6 months. It takes up to 2 weeks to work fully, although clients tend to see the effects after about 5 days.

2

What areas can I have treated?

Botox can be used anywhere on the face that a wrinkle is caused by muscle movement. The most common areas treated are forehead, frown lines and crows feet, although it can be used in the nose, mouth and chin. It can also be used in the jaw to reduce tension from teeth grinding and to give a slimmer look to the face. Botox can also be used to treat excessive sweating in the underarms.

3

How do I prepare for treatment?

Our practitioner will go through all specific pre-care and after-care in detail during your consultation, but it is advised to stop taking blood thinning medication such as ibuprofen and aspirin at least 2 days before your appointment. Please arrive at your appointment with no makeup on.

How does Botox work?

Botox works by temporarily paralysing facial muscles which smoothes out lines and wrinkles. It blocks the transmission of nerve signals to tell the muscle to move. Botox gradually wears off over the course of 3-6 months.
